Lauren Miller

Lauren Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mount Mary University in 2017. Lauren has also worked within Child Protective Services and completed an internship with Milwaukee Academy working with female teenage youth with a variety of mental health diagnoses in a residential treatment setting. She strives to provide services within a trauma sensitive lens while being sensitive and understanding of her clients and their individual needs.

 

Lauren fosters a therapeutic relationship with clients through her sense of compassion and empathy. She believes that the client must feel comfortable within the therapeutic relationship to foster positive change and client growth and therefore places strong value on building trust and rapport with her clients. Lauren is passionate about helping others and believes in the importance of putting her client’s and their needs first.

Issues: Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Parenting & Family Dynamics, Adjustment Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Social Skills, Coping Skills, Emotional Regulation, and Mood Disorders

Treatment approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution -focused, trauma-informed strategies, and person-centered therapy.
