Kristen is an intern earning her master’s degree from Bradley University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is working under the direct supervision of Sara Francis. Kristen earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Her experience includes working in emergency psychiatric services with people experiencing suicidality, addiction, psychosis, depression, and anxiety. She also has experience working with youth and adolescents in residential and in crisis facilities. Working with a trauma informed lens and cultural humility are important in her work.
Kristen is empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate, and values building a relationship with her clients. She will help you celebrate your strengths to help you establish your foundation for success in your wellness journey. Kristen will collaborate with you to discover what your needs are and help you find the tools that are a best fit for your work.
Her favorite treatment methods are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) biofeedback techniques, mindfulness, and self-compassion. She is holistic in her approach, supporting you as a whole, mind, body, and spirit.
Things that bring Kristen joy are art, nature, audiobooks, cooking, baking, yoga, and socializing with friends and family
